Youthful Coventry stroll to success

This was the first time United have played on English soil this season, after two victories in Northern Ireland including a 4-0 triumph over Northern Ireland's most succesful clubside ever - Linfield FC.

Only a combination of slack finishing and last ditch defending Bothroyd and Chippo from opening the scoring in the opening minutes.

City openined the scoring after Zuniga capitalisd on undecisiveness by Iron 'keeper Tommy Evans, heading home over Evans who had rushed out of his goal, but horribly misjudged the timing.

The same player doubled the lead five minutes before the break, comfortably slotting the ball home at the far post after connecting with a cross from Yousseff Chippo.

Jay Bothroyd fired home from the egde of the area three minutes into the second half to ensure that there was to be no home comeback, and the match slowly dragged onto the 90 minutes mark without either side coming close to troubling either goalkeeper again.

However, after failing to register a shot on target all evening, the United players will be acutely aware that they will have to improve by the time Wrexham come knocking if they are to make an impact on the third division this coming season.
