The woodwork saved promotion-chasing Brentford from a third successive away defeat in a goalless draw at Scunthorpe.
In the 69th minute striker Jon Parkin, who troubled the visitors all afternoon, rattled the crossbar with a close-range header.
Struggling Scunthorpe. with only three home wins all season, had the better of the first half chances, but once again could not find their finishing touch.
Parkin, on loan from Cardiff, dragged his shot badly wide after being set up in the box by skipper Sam Togwell and midfielder Michael O'Connor rifled a volley inches over.
Brentford, who gave a full debut to teenage striker Saido Berahino, who was denied by a fine save from Sam Slocombe two minutes into the second half.
Substitute Gary Alexander almost snatched a late victory for Brentford when he broke free, but his shot flew just over.
