Slocombe frustrates County
Goalkeeper Sam Slocombe earned Scunthorpe a point with two terrific second-half saves in their goalless draw with Notts County.
First Slocombe reacted brilliantly to turn away a close-range effort from Alan Judge.
Then he flung himself at full stretch to his right to turn a header from Jeff Hughes against a post and away.
It secured Scunthorpe their fifth successive draw, stretching their unbeaten run to seven games.
For County, it was their first point in three games as they chase a play-off spot.
And they might have snatched victory in the 71st minute when striker Lee Hughes, returning to the side after injury, rattled the crossbar with a free header in front of goal.
