Defender Karl Broadhurst scored the first goal of his professional career as promotion-chasing Bournemouth came from behind to beat in-form Scunthorpe at Dean Court.
Broadhurst ended a run of more than 100 games without a goal to help Bournemouth to their eighth successive home win with the first of two goals in the space of five second-half minutes.
The 22-year-old central defender nodded home at the back post on 59 minutes after Bournemouth team-mate Marcus Browning had knocked Gareth O'Connor's free-kick into his path.
Scunthorpe midfielder Matt Sparrow had earlier given the visitors the lead, seizing on a mistake from Bournemouth goalkeeper Neil Moss to fire in his fourth of the season.
Winger Sparrow cut in from the right channel before unleashing a fierce shot from 20 yards which goalkeeper Moss, on loan from Southampton, let slip through his fingertips and into the net.
Bournemouth drew level 14 minutes into the second half when Broadhurst ended a goal drought stretching back five seasons before striker James Hayter sealed the win with his third of the campaign just five minutes later.
Hayter made it 2-1 with a brilliant diving header after winger, and man of the match, Wade Elliott had crossed from the right.
Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll afterwards praised his comeback kings, saying: "I was disappointed with the way we played in the first half but in the second we showed what we are truly capable of.
"They played with apprehension early on and that is not like them but once we found our form there was only going to be one winner."Scunthorpe manager Brian Laws added: "I can't be too hard on my players because this is a difficult place to come but we are disappointed not to win.
"But we won't let one defeat affect us too much and we have learnt a lot from coming here. There is still a long way to go and I know we can bounce back from this."
