He will be taking part in a parachute jump at Hibaldstow Airfield in North Lincolnshire to raise money for the Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Laws, now the Sheffield Wednesday boss was inspired by a young Scunthorpe United supporter, 12-year-old leukaemia sufferer Daniel Grice, who is a patient at the hospital.
"I have visited Daniel at the hospital a few times, and he was able to return home for Christmas in Scunthorpe," said Laws.
"Having got to know each other better he challenged me to do a parachute jump for the Children's Hospital
"They do a wonderful job in providing the much needed, sometimes life-saving, health care to countless children so I agreed to take up his challenge"
You can donate to Laws' fundraising online at www.justgiving.com/brianlaws. The target is £5,000 and the jump will take place on July 9.
