Barnsley-born Jackson made four substitute appearances for the Iron after joining from Sheffield Wednesday in July 1996, scoring once.
He was released at the end of the season, when he joined Chesterfield before moving onto Worksop, Darlington and Stevenage - eventually joining Yeovil in November 2002.
