Hayes said: "This place has really impressed me through pre-season and the players in this squad are fantastic.
"We went into football work straight away with eleven and seven a side games and seeing the ability within the camp I really feel that we have a great chance of achieving something special. We can push for promotion this season.
"I have not come here to be languishing in mid-table this season. I want to push on and I honestly believe that we have the ability to win this league".
