Ghandi given Macclesfield vice-captaincy

Carruthers joined the Silkmen this summer shortly after verbally agreeing to stay at Glanford Park, and his new manager David Moss believes he is a suitable understudy to fellow new-boy David Flitcroft.

He said: "Martin is (an) experienced, committed pro and with him as vice captain it's a clean sweep and a new start at the Moss Rose. We are all looking forward to the challenge."
