He will inevitably be linked with a move to the English top flight over the summer - with Southampton, managed by former Iron boss Nigel Adkins, an obvious suggestion.
But Hooper, who has now spent two seasons up in Scotland, wants to commit his long-term future to the Hoops.
"I’d be happy to sign for longer. I’m happy up here. We’ve won the League and I’ve been consistent with my goals," he said.
"Getting my hands on the SPL trophy will be the best moment of my career.
"We won it quite early in the season, so I’m looking forward to finally getting my medal."
