The Glovers face Nottingham Forest in the first leg of their play-off semi-final on Friday night, with the winners of the tie going through to the final at Wembley.
Simply being in the play-offs is a remarkable achieve for the Somerset side, who are in only their fourth season as a Football League club.
Slade took over at Huish Park in the summer, and Fry reckons he's done enough to earn a move to a bigger club.
"My philosophy is that people who join us are on the way up, and if they do themselves and the club proud they will move on," he told BBC Radio Bristol.
"I hope we keep Russell for another 10 years, and he's focused on getting us to Wembley.
"He has done it with a minimal amount of resources, and at a time when the club was a bit disorganised with the amount of people who had left."
Yeovil will be without talismanic captain Terry Skiverton for the game at Huish Park on Friday night.
Skiverton has a groin injury, but Slade is set to recall several players after resting them last weekend.
Marcus Stewart, Chris Cohen, Nathan Jones, Lee Morris and Arron Davies all sat out Saturday's game at Gillingham to keep them fresh.
Forest will welcome back defender Wes Morgan following an ankle injury.
On-loan defender Alan Wright is eligible to play, but Nathan Tyson, Junior Agogo and Sammy Clingan are all ruled out through injury.
