The Glovers had their chances but failed to cash in and Phil Jevons, last season's top scorer in League Two just couldn't do anything right.
Disappointed manager Johnson said: "We were not as effective as we should have been, and it is up to the players to prove themselves.
"It is no use hiding, they have to play well every game. There were too many who were just about average and we have had a chat about it.
"They have stepped up a level and they have to pick themselves up. We are not smiling but we are not devastated either."
