"Kevin was outstanding when he played against us at Wolves last season. We've had him watched quite a lot since then," said McCarthy.
"We play 4-4-2 and he gives us another option. Mark Little has got an ankle injury that's causing us a bit of concern, and Foley gives us competition for places and, at his age, he's destined to get better."
