Laws took over at Hillsborough in November, deciding to quit his role as Scunthorpe boss to move to Yorkshire along with his assistant Russ Wilcox.

His target for the season was to avoid relegation, but an impressive run of form almost saw them sneak into the play-off spots.

"Brian has had a great impact. We have virtually the same team of players, he has just been able to motivate them and get them playing proper football," Allen told Owls MAD in an exclusive interview.

"He is doing all I have asked for; we are playing attractive and attacking football, the crowd is enjoying it."

Allen is expecting big things from Laws, and has set him a target of securing a play-off finish next season.

"We have to bring in one or two new players and add more quality, but the plan for next year is a top-six finish," he added.
