Wednesday capture Kavanagh

The 33-year-old Republic of Ireland international has joined the Owls on an initial one-month loan and follows Michael Johnson into Hillsborough after the veteran Derby County defender penned a similar short-term deal on Thursday.

Kavanagh is in line to make his Wednesday debut against Hull City in the Championship on Saturday.

"He is a top player and will bring many qualities to our squad," manager Brian Laws said.

"I am delighted Graham decided to join us because several other clubs were interested in him."
