The 31-year-old Welshman joined City in a £1million deal from Swansea during the summer but has found the net in only one game for his new side.
Trundle was dropped to the bench for last weekend's 2-0 win over Sheffield United, but believes he is beginning to find his feet at Ashton Gate.
"I spoke to the gaffer before Saturday's game. Obviously I want to play in every game and I don't like to get left out, but it's up to the manager and it paid off," he told the club's official website.
"I think I've done okay. As I've said before there is more to come and I can be better in games.
"It may take time but I'm settling in with the lads more now and really enjoying coming into training. Hopefully I'll hit top gear sooner rather than later."
