The centre-back has been told he myst rest for three months, meaning he cannot play until April at the earliest.
"Zak has a condition that affects the front of his pelvis, where two bones meet," explaind Lions physio Terry Standing.
"It is not an injury that has specifically been caused by a knock in a game, but one of those things that has degenerated a bit over a period of time, so he is having to take it a bit easy.
"Hopefully that could be before the end of the season, because the three-month rehabilitation programme takes Zak near to the end of April."
