The Hatters beat Lancashire rivals Rochdale in the League Two play-off final, just two years after they were battling to even stay in the Football League.
Gannon has built a side full of talented youngsters and is now setting his sights on a push for promotion to the Championship - even though it may become difficult to keep some of his players away from bigger clubs.
"I hope that we become a role model for all clubs at this level," he said.
"Over the past two years we have brought through a group of young players who in the right circumstances, play really good, effective football.
"It would be nice to keep them together but I think some of them are destined for great things."
