And Tilson will act as his assistant for the game, which will be played at the KC Stadium.
Tilson said: "It's a massive surprise for me but it is going to be a huge experience.
"I get on well with Peter Taylor. He could have chosen many others, but it will give me a great opportunity to see what goes on at international level.
"I might have a word in his ear though and point him in the direction of a few Southend and League One players."
