The Blundell Park side are mid-table in League Two after two successive
relegations, and chairman John Fenty has moved to keep the former
Scarborough boss for an extra year.
Slade said: I thank the chairman and the directors for showing faith in me
and I think it is a reflection of the work we have done here this season.
"When I came here we only had four players signed on but now we have the
nucleus of a good team and knowing I have another year ahead of me helps
with my planning for next season.
"I think we have got stronger as the season has gone on, and our results
have shown that. There is still a lot of work to do but we are getting it
right."
