He said: "I told the lads not to get carried away, it's only half-time and there's only a goal in it.
"It was a good performance, but I did not want it to look like we were over-celebrating, so I nipped that in the bud.
"We are only one game closer to the final, that's it and that's why we pulled them all together at the end for a little chat.
"It was important we didn't run around and celebrate - we have to prepare properly for the second half of this semi-final at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night."
