Chainrai is nominally the club's current owner, although he has previously rejected this tag and said he wanted to sell the club as soon as possible. He loaned money to previous owner Sulaiman al Fahim, which he wants to secure.
Andrew Andronikou, the club's adminstrator, had hoped the club could come out of administration this week but said on Thursday there were further delays.
"This hiatus is not helping the football club. In fact, from week to week we seem to be going one or two steps backwards," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"We've certainly implemented sufficient cost rationalisation to make the club viable."
Danny Graham, the Watford forward, has signed a contract extension that could keep him at Vicarage Road for three years.
Graham, 25, has scored eight goals in the opening 10 games of the season for the Hornets.
Sheffield United have signed defender Elian Parrino on loan from the Argentine side Estudiantes.
