The 28-year-old pens a three-year deal and becomes Wolves' latest summer signing.
Ward joined Palace from Millwall in 2005 and made almost 70 appearances for them despite being out of favour last term.
"I am really hungry to move on this season and to do well," he told the club's official website.
"I was attracted by Wolves' set-up; the training ground, the stadium, the size of the club and boss Mick McCarthy, who has always done very well."
