The former Leicester and Hull boss has been in charge of the Eagles since June 2006, but the draw against the Sky Blues left his side just one place above the relegation zone.
Taylor's position became even more perilous earlier this week when Palace chairman Simon Jordan said how much he respected former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock.
Taylor admitted: "I'm not confident but I just don't know because I've not spoken to Simon, I doubt we'll speak before the weekend but he's had a few things on his plate.
"If I'm honest it's not nice when you read that he's been having regular contact with Neil Warnock.
"I hope I'm given time because I enjoy the job. I have lots of great memories of Crystal Palace and I'd like to be successful here."
