Midfielder Mark Bonner broke an arm in a collision with team-mate Rob Scott during the Latics' 2-2 draw at Port Vale in September while defenders Chris Swailes (foot) and Stefan Stam (knee) remain long-term absentees.
Their absence has forced Moore to consider bolstering his squad or promoting youngsters from within.
He said: “We’re now going to be very short of cover unless I can bring someone in, so that’s what I’ll be looking at this week.
“It’s going to be difficult because you find clubs are only willing to let people out on loan for the experience. I don’t want to use up a loan signing for somebody else’s young lads. I’d rather blood our own kids like Jason Taylor,” he told the club’s official website.
