Oldham look to strengthen further

Ronnie Moore’s assistant has admitted that Bristol City striker Paul Heffernan and Lincoln midfielder Richard Butcher are amongst a number of targets.

The Latics also still haven’t given up hope of signing Sheffield United striker Luke Beckett, who spent a fruitful spell on loan at the club towards the end of last season.

''We're still talking to Luke and his agent,” said the former Rotherham assistant manager.

''That is something which is ongoing and certainly not dead in the water.''

Blackpool’s Paul Edwards became the club’s sixth summer signing last week, as Moore and Breckin eye a promotion push this time around.
