A goalless draw at Colchester was followed by a 1-0 reverse by Moore's former club Rotherham on Bank Holiday Monday, prompting criticism - despite the Boundary Park club sitting eighth in the table ahead of this weekend's games.
Moore blasted: "For some reason, there's a feeling here that everything has suddenly gone wrong.
"It's ludicrous - you'd think we were 20 points adrift in the League but we were three points off the top.
"I don't expect people to be dancing on the table after our performance against Rotherham but I'm astounded by the attitude.
"I can guarantee that three points at Southend on Sunday would make everyone go the other way and start walking in the clouds again."
