Sheridan claims media reports of the incident at Belle Vue dog track have been inaccurate.
"Whatever went on, it was dealt with. I was there. I've heard and read lots of things. What I've supposed to have done, what other people have supposed to have done, it didn't happen," he told BBC Radio Manchester.
"One or two people had a drink, their behaviour wasn't right, I dealt with it. It's gone now and I've just got to try and concentrate and get the lads together, which they are."
