Ince led his side to victory in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley in March before their promotion as champions was confirmed on Saturday.
"At the moment I'm absolutely delighted," he admitted. "It's been the perfect season.
"All credit must go to the players they've been absolutely awesome from day one.
"I couldn't have dreamt we'd get to Wembley, win promotion and end up winning the title.
"This season has been absolutely fantastic, expectations this year have been very high and we've delivered.
"But next year it's going to be a completely different kettle of fish. In an ideal world I'd like to go up next year.
"There's some good teams in League One so it might take two or three years."
