The Lions still lie third in the table, despite having taken just two points from their last three games.
Jackett said: "Looking at the table we are still very much in there. We have had three games without a win, but two have been drawn which still adds points to the total.
"We need to be able to handle being the favourites. It is a different mentality to being the challengers like at Leicester and Leeds this season.
"We have now got to play like champions. Football's not an exact science and there is no magic answer. We're just going to work on it in training, because I know our players can play better."
