It follows a clash between the two players in training on Thursday, but the Sincil Bank club have declined to comment further until any appropriate disciplinary action is decided on.
Imps chairman Rob Bradley said: "There was an incident and it is only fair supporters know what is going on to stop rumours flying around.
"Both players have been suspended on full pay this week and the matter will now be dealt with in-house. The final decision of where we go from here lies with the manager.
"These sort of things are part of the cut and thrust of football and fall-outs occur across the country - probably on a weekly basis. The club now needs to go forward."
