Laws only took over at Hillsborough in November after quitting his role as Scunthorpe boss, but has seen his side start the new season with five consecutive league losses.
It had been suggested that Owls chairman Dave Allen was ready to drop the axe if results didn't improve quickly.
"It's a load of nonsense, I've not had that discussion with the chairman," Laws told the Yorkshire Post.
"What I have discussed with the chairman is how we move forward. There has been no discussion about a 'job' and I think that's what you want to hear.
"I believe that we will turn it around pretty quick."
