The 21-year-old has recently returned to full training following a long-term groin problem and is keen to get some first-team action under his belt.
Tractor Boys boss Jim Magilton has already suggested he will allow Bowditch to seek a loan move, following a stint for the youngster at Brighton last season.
"I went up to him (Magilton) and asked if I could go out on loan and I got injured while I was out there which was a bit of a downer," Bowditch told the club's official website.
"But first-team football is what I need and if he is comfortable with the strikers he's got at the moment, it'll have to be elsewhere."
