The Yorkshire side held La Liga side Real Sociedad at the Galpharm Stadium, and hoeps to reward the supporters who showed with promotion to the Championship this season.
"I'll reward you by helping Town win promotion. It would be a dream come true if I could mark my testimonial season by helping Town win a place in the Championship," Booth told the Terriers fans.
"The fans have been absolutely brilliant to me in both my spells at this club, and to see so many people from my home town turn out was something special.
"It really does mean a lot to me, and I'd love to see their loyalty both to myself and the club repaid."
Manager Peter Jackson added his own tribute to the 32-year-old, who has spent a decade at the club.
"Without doubt Andy Booth is a Huddersfield Town legend," Jackson said.
"There are not many players nowadays that have testimonials. He's been a credit to the club and himself ever since he's been here.
"Since I returned to the club three years ago Andy has been excellent for me. His ability and attitude on and off the pitch is second to none and he's not just respected by everyone connected with Huddersfield, but by players and managers throughout the game"
