The 22-year-old Polish striker has hit nine goals for the Terriers this season, and has been linked with a move away from the Galpharm Stadium.
But although the Yorkshire club sold former striker Jonathan Stead to Blackburn in a £1.25million deal, Jackson reckons there is no need to sell Abbott.
He said: "It was completely different (with Stead) because we were four months out of administration then.
"We don't have to sell players any more. We want to build for the future and it would take a massive bid for any of my players to leave.
"Pawel's got nearly a goal a game, he's still only 22 and he's got a big future."
