The managerless Kent side are in the relegation zone of League One, and missed out on a money-spinning FA Cup run after losing to Unibond League side Burscough in the first round.
The club have avoided the prospect of administration by convincing the clubs debtors that it can manage the money owed, but the playing squad is likely to be reduced in size still further.
Scally said: "The bank have seen our proposals for going forward and are happy with them to a certain extent, but for all Gillingham fans it is good news as we are still in business and still going forward.
"We appear to be over the worst of our problems."
