An ambitious move for Columbian international striker Faustino Asprilla fell through last season, and Reynolds is keeping quiet on the target's nameto avoid a repeat embarassement.
He told the Northern Echo: "I have me eye on a striker but I don't want to make an announcement unless it goes sour on me like the Asprilla deal did.
"All I can say is that if we manage to get him our fans will be doing cartwheels.
"He's a player who will guarantee us 20 goals a season and I reckon if we match him up with Barry Conlon we'll do very well next season."
The Quakers will move into a 27,500 all seater stadium for next season.
