Alex lost 1-0 to Tranmere Rovers on Monday with a late deflected strike from Chris Shuker proving to be the only difference between the two sides in the Prenton Park clash.
Although his side will not be heading to Wembley, there were plenty of positives for Holland to take from the game.
"Feeling sorry ourselves isn't the solution. We don't get paid to feel sorry for ourselves," he said.
"We passed the ball well and all the forwards looked dangerous. We could have gone in at half-time a couple of goals up.
"We were making substitutions for the penalties with five minutes to go, and then their lad hit a shot from outside the box and it flew in the opposite direction and landed in the net. It's one we've got to take on the chin and try and build on that."
