Elding, 26, only made four starts for Leeds after moving to Elland Road from Stockport County in January and looks set to be following in the footsteps of Alan Thompson and Darren Kenton who have already left United this summer.
Elding made his name at Boston United before moving to Stevenage Borough in early 2003.
He scored 56 goals in 115 starts for the Conference side before signing for Stockport where he continued his excellent scoring record, finding the net on 26 occasions in only 52 appearances for the club.
