Colchester man Halford going nowhere

Following his England exploits in the Toulon tournament in France, utility man Halford has been linked with a number of clubs, including international boss Peter Taylor's Hull City side.

But Parkinson insists nobody has enquired about the 20-year-old.

"It's just speculation, nothing more," he said.

"I've had my phone on all summer and nobody has called me with regards to Greg.

"I can fully understand why there's speculation about him after how well he did in France and it wouldn't surprise me if some clubs were contemplating him. But speculation is one thing, it actually happening is another."
