Duguid, 27, has returned to training after missing more than a season with a
knee injury.
The midfielder could be in contention for a place in Parkinson's side for the opening league game against Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium, but
the Us boss revealed he will not rush his skipper back.
"We will nurse Karl through the first few weeks because of the time he
has been out," he told the club's official website.
"We are really pleased he has got back to this stage after the rough time he
has had and hope we can prevent him getting injured again."
