Lambert took charge of the Us at the beginning of October and has won 10 of the 18 games he has sat in the dugout for.
During January, Lambert's side won three and drew two matches, lifting them to 11th in the table.
"It is a good record. The players have responded brilliantly since I joined the club," he said.
"They have been in incredible form and it would be wrong of me to take all the credit."
Lambert has also instilled a belief in his side that they can reach the play-off places after clawing his charges away from a relegation dog fight.
"We will now do all we can to push towards those play-off places," he added.
"There's no need to look over our shoulders. We just have to focus on keeping up this great run. I have a lot of belief in these players."
