The Bluebirds were soundly beaten at Molineux on Tuesday night, in a match which manager Dave Jones missed due to illness. It followed on form Saturday's 3-2 loss at Glanford Park, as already-relegated Scunthorpe claimed a rare three points.
Burton admitted: "Of course it is there and you cannot take that away.
"When the players go out on the pitch are they going out there and thinking of the FA Cup final? I would have to say no, they are thinking about what they would have to do to try to win that game."
Burton also revealed Jones didn't travel with the Cardiff squad as he remains troubled by a chest infection. He added: "He's not been well for about five or six days. He's had a chest infection, a bad throat and sounded awful.""He's kept battling it and kept fighting it. I think yesterday his temperature was up and he needed a couple of days away from it."
