Joe Ledley's early goal in Sunday's semi-final win over Barnsley sealed the Bluebirds' place in next month's final against Portsmouth, but Jones is keen to win a place in the Championship play-offs before his side returns to Wembley Stadium on May 17.
He said: "My problem is getting them up and running again. We want to keep it going. We have a slim chance of the play-offs and, while we have, I won't let them rest.
"It's not about turning up to the final and being a bit part. We want to win it and why shouldn't we? I've said all season if we play to our potential we're a match for anyone.
"I've been in finals, play-offs, won things as a manager, but I've never been in an FA Cup final and it's a nice feeling.
"This ranks up there with anything I've achieved. It's something special. With everything that's gone on off the pitch it's a great credit to my players."
