The 36-year-old Frenchman has spent a week on trial at the Withdean trial, after turning down the chance to join Brentford.
He was a free agent having been released by Queens Park Rangers in the summer.
He said: "I had clubs in Scotland and England interested, but Brighton looks the good option - I like the challenge.
T"he manager wants me to bring my experience to a young team. My ambition is for us to make the top two. It will be hard, but the team has started very well."
