His display caught the eye of Blues boss Steve Bruce, who swooped for the player ahead of the transfer deadline on Tuesday.
The Premiership side will pay £500,000 for the player, who Brentford signed from Yeading for £4,000 in the summer, with the total fee possibly rising to £1m depending on appearances.
Blues boss Steve Bruce said: "He is someone who is quick, direct and young.
"He is a bit raw, but he has a good eye for goal and is an exciting player.
"He is quite refreshing and from his interviews you can see that he is someone who enjoys playing football.
