Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll has spoken to Saints boss over the player, and is confident of luring the 19-year-old to Dean Court.
He told the Daily Echo: "He is one of the players we've asked about and he is one of a number of players we would be interested in.
"We spoke to George Burley after we had played them behind closed doors to see what his availability would be. They are trying to get players in and he might be a possibility for us.
"If he were to become available, we would be interested in him. "I would imagine George won't be loaning any of his players to other Championship clubs so unless they go to Premiership or League Two, I think we're a good option and the boy would enjoy it if he came down."
