Steve Sly, along with current Cherries chairman Abdul Jaffer and businessman Jeff Mostyn, hoping to take control of the south coast club.
"There are no hidden agendas," insisted Sly to the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
"All we are asking for is a clean bill of health to be able to move forward and try to run the club as we would our own businesses and we all have successful track records.
"I understand some people may be sceptical because, like me, they have been badly treated in the past.
"But I don't understand why anybody would want to stop us trying to take the club forward. The only reason I'm getting involved is for the good of AFC Bournemouth."
