The 27-year-old has been told he is free to leave current club Feyenoord without a fee and has been invited to Bloomfield Road by Seasiders boss Simon Grayson.
Meanwhile, Grayson was not disappointed at seeing Pool's 12-match winning run stretching back to last season ended by Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bristol City.
"I'm disappointed to have lost the run, but it was always going to come to an end and I'm obviously delighted that we've lost the run by not losing," he told the club's official website.
I thought we played ever so well, created a lot of chances and on another day we should have won the game really. "But I'm really pleased and positive about how we've played and adapted to life in the Championship so far."
