Brodie, 23, has long been linked with a move to Glanford Park to follow in the footsteps of Martyn Woolford and Adam Boyes - two young players signed from the Minstermen.
He scored the winner in last week's 1-0 friendly win over the Iron at Bootham Park, prompting suggestions some of the £2.4million transfer fee received for Gary Hooper would be spent on him. This, Adkins, said, is not the case.
"There's nothing at all behind it. We're aware of who he is and he scored a very good goal against us, but nothing about it has come from me," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
