Camara, 24, joined the Iron's squad for the pre-season trip to Ireland but took a knock during the first-half of Saturday's win over FC Halifax which aggravated a pre-existing problem.
"Yami has got what is known as a 'French ankle', if I am honest I have no idea what that is," manager Alan Knill told the club's official website.
"But since he came here he has been struggling with it and you saw that on Saturday. So he has gone back to France to get some treatment.
"We told him to go and get himself fit and then get back to us. Obviously in the meantime he may get himself fixed up over there, which is understandable."
